**The opportunity**
Our client is a leading provider of Industrial Electrical and Control System Solutions. They deliver a wide range of electrical and process engineering solutions to many of New Zealand’s businesses. This role offers a competitive wage, overtime and a dedicated company car. Projects are varied and away from home commissioning is mínimal.
**About the role**
Clients rely on the business to deliver innovation and improvement to systems and processes as well as maximising up time and continuity.
The business supports a wide range of businesses and industries and this means you will have constant variety of work and complexity of projects..
This is an autonomous position, working closely with the General Manager. You will be involved in automation projects from concept, software development, programming, testing and overseeing site commissioning and customer training.
At the same time, you will be working in a culture that is team focussed, ensuring that their staff have the necessary support and tools to perform at the level expected by clients.
**Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes**
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer who can offer solutions and the personality to deliver a great customer experience to valued clients.
Your toolbox of skills and experience is broad. You will have:
- A trade background or relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Experience with dealing with projects and clients
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients on automation and programming.
You will need to be self-driven, an effective communicator and be able to see projects through to fruition.
