**About the Role**

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking an Allied Health, Scientific or Technical experienced leader who is looking for an outstanding opportunity to grow their skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.

This role provides essential support operationally and professionally to our Scientific & Technical services. The role comprises of both operational and professional leadership responsibilities for the following services:
Operational Oversight of
- Pharmacy services
- Laboratory services
- Radiology services

Professional Oversight of
- AHS&T professions within the services listed above, plus:

- Clinical physiologists
- Cardiac sonographers
- Sterile supply technicians
- Anaesthetic technicians

Within this senior leadership role you will have the unique opportunity to drive service excellence as we prepare to transition our services into a state-of-the-art new hospital building which will include new Radiology and Laboratory departments. You will also be an integral member of the results driven Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Directorate Leadership Team, working alongside the other Associate Director Allied Health (Allied Therapies) to support the delivery of the Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Strategy.

**About You**

You will be skilled and insightful people leader who effectively engages with a variety of stakeholders, with a strong foundation of operational management to deliver key objectives for your services.

You will hold a relevant APC as an Allied Health professional along with the following experience:

- Minimum 10 years post graduate clinical experience
- Minimum 5 years professional and managerial experience
- Project and change management, and quality improvement skills and experience at an organisational level, with a proven ability to deliver on KPI’s and projects
- Highly developed communication and relationship skills
- Possesses the ability to successfully work in partnership with other senior health professionals
- Working knowledge of our health and disability system obligations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ability to work in a complex changing environment
