**LET'S FRAME THIS FOR YOU**:
We are looking for a motivated **Night Shift** **Maintenance Fitter** to take ownership of all plant and machinery maintenance for Auckland Manufacturing. The position will be **sole charge** hands-on and have a strong focus on detail and ensuring plant reliability, diagnostics, and repairs. You will be responsible for improving plant and equipment reliability and reducing the impact and frequency of machinery breakdowns. This role will also see you demonstrating the following responsibilities:
- Repair breakdowns quickly and effectively, minimising production downtime
- Commissioning of new equipment
- As this is a sole charge role, you will be expected to follow the breakdown and escalation procedure and make calculated decisions when assistance/support is required.
- Maintain all plant equipment to the highest standard
- Ensuring all plant equipment is running smoothly and efficiently to meet the demands of production
- Coordinate with staff, supervisors, suppliers, and contractors
- Actively maintain a safe and tidy workshop and spare parts control
- A strong focus on Health & Safety standards and compliance
- Contribute towards Process and Quality Improvements
- Be a strong team player with good communication and sharing of information
**KEEN TO NAIL THIS?**
The foundations of this role will see you demonstrating the below skill set:
- Must be able to provide the relevant trade qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Able to work independently and self-manage your workload as well as work well in a high-performing team
- Electrical Experience - EST (Electrical Services Technician) certification would be an advantage
- The ability to weld (ARC & TIG) would be an advantage
- Experience using MEX would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and evaluation capability
- Be a strong team player with good communication and sharing of information
**WORKING HOURS?**
Mondays to Thursdays - 9:00 pm to 6:30 am
Fridays - 6:00 pm to 3:30 am
Weekend work only as required.
