Join our team at Catch a Fish Takeaway Were looking for a motivated Cook Assistant to join us and be an integral part of our team from Day One. No prior experience is required as we will provide training, but its definitely a plus
We operate in a fast-paced environment and are looking for someone who is quick on their feet, committed, and excited to learn and grow with us.
**Number of positions**: 4
**Employment type**: full-time, permanent
**On roster**: Monday to Saturday, from 11am 9pm - at least 30 hours per week.
**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Assist Cook by performing routine food preparation, cleaning and storage tasks.
Conduct the task of gathering food ingredients in preparation for cooking and serving
Conduct the task of gathering woks, pots and pans in preparation for cooking food ingredients
Conduct the task of weighing and measuring ingredients
Conduct the task of washing, peeling, cutting, slicing and dicing ingredients for cooking and serving
Conduct the task of cutting and grinding meat, poultry and seafood in preparation for cooking
Conduct the task of storing food supplies, equipment, dishes and cooking wares in refrigerators, cupboards, pantries and other storage areas
Informing Cook when food supplies are low.
Food prep and Cleaning
What are we looking for'
No prior work experience is required, but would be an advantage
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Self-motivated achiever interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
Ability to work a flexible rotating roster including nights/ weekends
Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
