The purpose of this role is to provide senior leadership and portfolio guidance to support the planning and project delivery of the Parks infrastructure for the Council with the outcome desired being the provision of a well-planned and delivered Parks assets that align with and support community aspirations associated to the City's parks and open spaces and contribute to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the City. You will provide leadership, guidance and coordinate the rolling three (3) year delivery programme for all parks capital works by facilitating a smooth transition for capital investment from the Planning and Asset management team to the delivery teams.

You will work collaboratively with elected members and colleagues across the Group and Council to ensure a consistent approach to development of the three (3) year rolling programme for Capital works.

To be successful, you will have a tertiary qualification and project management or financial management. You will be a person who thrives on detail but isn't afraid to operate in an environment where change is the norm. As a proactive person you will enjoy working in a high-performing, collaborative team environment.

You'll need to be outcome-focused, possess a can-do attitude, with an agile approach and strong emotional intelligence to allow communication with a wide range of stakeholders. In addition to the core project management fundamentals, the soft skills of project management are key to the success of this role

- Hours of work_ - Fulltime, Monday to Friday
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at the Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
