**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated **Sexual Health Physician** to join our Christchurch Sexual Health Centre team to cover a short term vacancy. This role offers an opportunity to provide best-practice sexual healthcare to patients while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

As a Sexual Health Physician, your key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting outpatient clinic duties and providing competent, ethical management of sexual health conditions.
- Offering expert advice, referrals, and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
- Supervising, teaching, and contributing to research initiatives.
- Maintaining clinical documentation and participating in quality improvement processes.

Our team is made up of doctors, clinical nurse specialists, nursing staff, and administrative professionals. We work together to provide a high-quality, patient-centred sexual health service to the Canterbury region.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A medical qualification recognized for registration with the **Medical Council of New Zealand** as a Sexual Health Physician.
- A **current Annual Practising Certificate**.
- Postgraduate medical experience with expertise in the medical management of sexually transmitted infections.
- Experience in **sexual health, family planning, or medical gynaecology** is highly desirable.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A patient-focused, empathetic approach to healthcare.
