Yard/showroom Customer Service

Based in our **Wairarapa branch **, working Monday to Friday only, your energetic, out-going nature and eye for detail will help you to ensure that our customers receive prompt, efficient service and sound advice.

The role interacts daily with our customers, who are the heart and soul of our business, both in our Showroom and Yard & Drive Thru area. You will be a people person thriving most when supporting our customers so that they get a winning in-store experience. You will build and maintain effective relationships with them by offering product support, technical information and interior design solutions. In our Showroom you will also play a vital part in direct sales with customers, providing quotations, cross-selling and up-selling on the basis of their needs.

Within our Yard & Drive Thru area your key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting within the yard, providing produce advice to customers when required
- Picking orders, monitoring inventory and cycle counts
- Loading of goods onto customer vehicles
- Processing customer orders and transactions
- Assisting, as directed, to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained

**About You**:
Your positive attitude, fantastic organisation skills and awesome work ethic is essential. You will be proactive, a great communicator, enjoy building a good rapport with our customers and be comfortable using your own initiative.

Alongside this, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:

- Proven experience in a customer service and/or retail sales environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a bubbly personality
- Ability to build rapport with people from all ages and backgrounds
- Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently when required
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- A great command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Some building/tradie knowledge would be ideal but is not essential
- A forklift licence and/or experience would be amazing but is not a necessity
- A team focused attitude - we all pull together to ensure the success of the branch but still have fun along the way
