**About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Functional Specialist** to join a high-impact team supporting the Ministry’s enterprise CRM platform. This role is central to the scalability and evolution of our Salesforce-based products that underpin service delivery and engagement across the education sector.

You’ll work within a cross-functional team to establish a robust, scalable and secure Platform that enables extensible user-centred products to be implemented on the Salesforce platform. Supported by Digital Practices, the team plays a key role in enabling smarter service delivery and better outcomes for learners, whānau, and educators.

**About you | Mōhou ake**

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience developing scalable OmniStudio components including FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers. Integration Procedures
- Strong expertise in Flow Builder, with a focus on, Record-triggered flows. Subflows, Scalable automation design
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce security model, covering Profiles, Permission Sets, Role Hierarchies, Sharing Rules, Sharing Sets
- Hands-on experience with key Salesforce clouds, such as, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Experience Cloud
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines, including, Azure DevOps, Git, SFDX
- Configuration-first approach expertise, using App Builder, Dynamic Forms, Record Types
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions
- Working knowledge of Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience with Salesforce reports and dashboards
- Experience with data upload tools
- Prior experience within the New Zealand Government would be an advantage but not essential
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

Matihiko | Digital holds the strategic lead on technology matters across the Ministry. This includes oversight of digital services in the Ministry, leading the cross-agency strategy ‘Connected Ako: Digital and Data for Learning’, enabling education system wide planning and investment in digital services, and ensuring the Ministry’s alignment with broader best-practice government digital and data direction and guidance.
