Coordinator - People Experience

Company Description
**Te Tākinatanga | Our Story**
- He aha te mea nui o te ao. He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata_
- What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people._
We think this proverb captures the spirit of our People Experience function. At Contact we have a vision for creating and contributing to a better New Zealand. To become the leaders in decarbonisation we need our people to be propelled by curiosity and to become life-long learners - this is the mahi that drives us in People Experience.
We have some incredible projects in flight that are at the heart of making our people feel safe and valued, _and_ we are in a major growth phase, which naturally brings more recruitment and project work happening behind the scenes. We’re looking for a kickass HR Coordinator who can jump in and lend an extra pair of hands over the next three months.
**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role***
The team you’ll slot into is cool. People Experience is the crew focused on improving employee experiences and building critical capability for the future, who put a lot of mahi in behind the scenes to make working here the joy that it is. Reporting to the Head of Operations for People Experience, you’ll work alongside an excellent bunch of humans who bring a huge amount of energy, smarts, drive, and banter to work each day.
**Qualifications**:
**Ko wai koe | About you**
That person in the office others describe as a superstar, you’re a machine with admin, awesome with customers (mostly our own employees, in this case), constantly thinking ahead and the type to offer a hand when you see something that needs doing. You bring great energy to work and you’re a pro at multi-tasking, comfortable juggling priorities and working to deadlines. Well-versed in the HR space, you’re comfortable smashing out contracts and paperwork and do so with integrity, understanding this is often sensitive information.
Known by your peers and colleagues for your work ethic and top-notch service, you have awesome communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You get things right first time, are quick to make amends on the odd occasion you don’t, and above all you’re a team player, someone who takes great pride in their mahi and helps make work a fun place to be.
Additional Information
This is a 3-month contract role to see us through a busy period. Based in our Wellington head office, you’ll work Monday to Friday (no weekends) with some flexibility around start and finish times and the ability to work from home when suitable.
Contact Energy is committed to being an inclusive employer. We want people to be themselves, after all, they can't be anyone else
