RedBull Powder Company manufactures a range of explosives products and provides comprehensive drilling and blasting services to quarries, mines and construction projects across New Zealand.
We are now recruiting for a Truck Driver to fill the position of** Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) Operator**. The MPU carries the raw ingredients to manufacture bulk emulsion to the job site, so the position requires a professional truck driver with the ability to meet delivery targets in a proficient and safe manner. This role requires a team player who is happy to assist on the bench to get the job done it is more than just driving the truck.
RedBulls Plant when the MPU team are based from is near Maramarua, but customer site locations are throughout the North Island therefore, daily jobs are spread between quarry and construction sites across the Island. There is a requirement for overnight trips away, so flexibility is essential. Hours of work are dependent on the Operations Schedule of work, ideally between 7.30am and 5.00pm, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
**Key tasks and responsi**
- Safe handling of raw bulk materials
- Safe operation of MPUs at all times
- Manufacturing bulk products within specification and requirements
- Complying with all QA/QC and calibration requirements
- Forklift operation, including pre-starts and all maintenance checks
- Manufacturing and bagging ANFO to required volumes
- Assisting with blasting activities on the bench
- Pre-starts, maintenance, calibrating and cleaning MPUs to required standard
- Complying with all Company safety and operating procedures
- Active participation in the OPEX continuous improvement program
- Completing all regulatory compliance documentation
- Other tasks as may be assigned by the Leading Hand or Line Manager to maintain continuation of RedBull operations
**You will need to**
- 4 years truck driving experience preferred
- Class 4 Drivers Licence preferred, but we can work with Class 2 to upskill the right applicant
- Clean slate criminal background and no serious traffic violations within last 7 years
- Excellent communication and personal presentation skills
- A current Dangerous Goods Endorsement would be beneficial, but again we can upskill the right applicant
