As a Performance Analyst, you'll work alongside some key figures within the Council and be an essential resource to help shape and deliver on strategies and services. **About the role | Ko te mahi nei** There are many detailed facets to deal with around business planning, performance and processing information to enable units to make sound decisions. You'll be preparing reports and analyses and identifying opportunities for performance improvements. Your days will include: - Using your non-financial and financial acumen to guide and communicate effectively with internal business units, enabling service development and decision making. - Analysing data, measuring business performance, and supporting key publications including the Long Term Plan for Christchurch - Trialling and implanting technical solutions to track trends and embed feedback **About you | Ko Koe Tēnei** You're naturally an inquisitive person which means you will be able to dig deeper into any problems. Being detail orientated you'll look at the fine print and have proven clear written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to draw conclusions from information gathering will be shown with your skills in extracting data and information. You will also have: - At least 3 years' experience in business analysis and planning - A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance - Experience working in a multifaceted organisation or local government in a Business Analyst capacity would be an advantage What is most important, however, are your soft skills and the ability to be proactive, a clear communicator and self-managing to deadlines. You'll be able to challenge the "why" and influence the way we do things. **What's in it for you?
