Mō te tūnga | About the role
You will provide well researched specialist advice and support to strengthen the organisation on all aspects of health and safety. In addition you will be responsible for working closely with the Manager of Health and Safety to build relationships and partner with key stakeholders to develop and contribute to health and safety processes and practices alongside compliance on all relevant legislation and requirements.

You will be a solid operator and a risk assessment expert with a work ethos to make things better.

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- High level of self-motivation, judgement, objectivity and integrity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication and particularly the ability to present ideas, information and advice in a way that is understandable by a range of audiences
- Extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety in a diverse environment is essential
- Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting people at all levels of large complex organisations
- Influencing business practices across business groups to drive the adoption of a whole-of-organisation approach to health and safety
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Annual remuneration for this band 18 position starts between $119,158 and $132,397 dependant on experience.
