On occasions, you may need to act as the site geochemist to provide temporary cover during periods of leave, illness or secondments.
You’ll take ownership of our software and database systems, and relevant standards/procedures, ensuring we are compliant and operate under best practice. You may also be asked to hold and discharge a Discipline Authority (DA) role to manage our geochemistry risk across the business.
A large part of your success, will be your ability to manage and motivate your team, helping them to develop and grow their career. You will play a strategic role, helping to build Contact’s geochemistry capability and succession plan.
This permanent, full-time role is Taupo based role and reports into the Capability Lead - Reservoir Operations and Assets. It’s a newly created position which is exciting and a great opportunity for you to shape it and make it your own.

Building effective working relationships will come naturally to you. You take the lead, can hold your own and are comfortable having those uncomfortable conversations.
You will have strong research and analytical skills and you’re particularly curious when it comes to problem solving and process improvements. When it comes to communication (verbal and written), your skills are impressive. You are known for your story telling and can explain complex information in a way everyone can understand.
