**About the role**

We are looking for a **Production and Dispatch Manager** to lead a team of 5 Supervisors, 1 production planner and approximately 100 front-line staff at our Wiri Bakery. We are a daily fresh business producing iconic brands such at Big Ben Pies, Golden Crumpets and Tip Top Bun and Rolls. This bakery operates 24/7 to create some of NZ’s much loved iconic brands. The Production and Dispatch Manager is responsible for leading performance excellence across our Wiri operations. It is a fast paced, busy and rewarding role, leading a highly engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Leading the Wiri Bakery to achieve production and despatch targets
- Design and implement the site’s continuous improvement program
- Lead the sites engagement action plan in conjunction with site leadership team
- Maintain optimized and efficient production planning processes
- Develop the site’s Frontline leadership capabilities through effective people management
- Ensure new product development is executed efficiently
- Ensure lean manufacturing processes are implemented
- In conjunction with business partners, drive and support site audits
- Support union negotiations and employment relations
- Champion health and safety to keep our people safe

Key Skills & Experience:

- Proven leadership managing teams effectively within a manufacturing/ FMCG environment
- Process control experience within a manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and Continuous Improvement principles
- Able to mobilise people through effective communication, participation and engagement
- Self-motivated and sets high standards of performance for oneself and their team
- Demonstrable networking and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
