80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)

Rostered shifts; Mon-Sun including public holidays and weekends

We are seeking to recruit a Radiology Clerical Officer for Health New Zealand (Hastings Hospital) who shares our values of He kauanuanu - Respect, Ākina - Improvement, Rāranga te tira - Teamwork and Tauwhiro - Care.

This position is based in Hastings but there may be times when you are required to work from the Napier Health Centre.

Computer literacy is a must as staff work within 2 different systems (ECA and RRIS), often simultaneously, as well as using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

A working knowledge of the regional radiology information system (RRIS), the Health NZ's patient management system (ECA), referral management and modalities of radiology are highly desirable.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

- Front of house reception - face to face contact with all visitors to dept.
- Answering/dealing with all incoming telephone calls
- Data entry
- Patient admissions/transfers/discharges
- Referral management and Scheduling of appointments
- General administration - filing, ordering stationery, mail, receiving/sending faxes, CD burning/distribution,etc.
- Capturing accurate ACC data
- Contacting patients regarding pending appointments
- Sorting and distribution of radiology reports.
