About the Role The Sub-Regional Director of Teaching and Learning - Secondary (SRDTL-S) will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape within NZ. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Teaching and Learning - Secondary, the SRDTL-S oversees academic and achievement programs, directing the work of Teachers and collaborating with Campus Principals to implement the Learning to Learn Framework. Key Responsibilities - Lead the development of a personalised secondary curriculum plan, ensuring alignment with the Learning to Learn Framework. - Manage the work of allocated Teachers to meet all regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality educational programs. - Ensure effective Assignment design through strategic leadership, ensuring all learning is delivered via Assignments aligned with the OSG Learning to Learn Framework. - Oversee the differentiation and personalisation of Assignments in collaboration with Teachers and Campus Principals. - Co-lead the induction program for new education staff, ensuring adherence to the Global Teacher Academy program. - Develop and implement an annual professional learning program for secondary teachers, incorporating Teacher Academy and external training requirements. - Lead the implementation of the MAP Growth program, ensuring comprehensive analysis and reporting of student performance. - Deliver and report on Key Performance Indicators for academic progress, quality of Assignments, and departmental performance. - Develop and maintain positive relationships with all OSG stakeholders, promoting the Secondary Curriculum and L2L Framework. **About You**:Essential**: - Qualified Teacher with classroom experience. - Experience in a middle or senior educational leadership position. - Demonstrated experience in curriculum and assessment leadership within a Secondary school setting including strong data analysis skills - being able to navigate a spreadsheet is a must - Proven track record of improving student outcomes through strategic planning and data analysis. **Desirable**: - Higher-level qualification in Educational Leadership and Management. - Experience leading educational strategy across multiple, geographically distributed sites. - Proficiency in teaching and learning in a technology-rich environment. **Attributes for Success**: - Student-centric approach. - Positive role model with outstanding stakeholder focus. - Effective relationship builder with resilience and diligence. - Ability to work collaboratively and travel to various campuses as required. **Competencies**: - Leadership and supervision. - Planning and organizing. - Strong persuasion and influencing skills. - Conflict resolution and management. - Adaptability and response to change. - Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding. **Position Benefits Include**: - Competitive Salary - Company Vehicle - Phone & Laptop - Health Insurance - Lunch provided on days you work from The Precinct Join us at OneSchool Global and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovative education and student success OneSchool Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
