Hyster Onehunga is looking for a skilled diesel technician with forklift experience to join their team based at their unique Kiwirail site.

**About the role**

Join the Hyster NZ team and you'll get to work on cutting-edge technology from our market-leading brand. You'll also get the chance to constantly upskill through technical training which will put you at the front of the queue to learn about electric and internal combustion forklifts and warehouse products - from a small 1.5-ton pallet jack up to a 52-ton container handler. Most of our managers progress from the floor, so you'll be mentored by people who understand the role. And, of course, your safety is a priority. Our in-house Health & Safety team works closely with managers to provide training and support, you'll be well taken care of while you work.

**What we need from you**
- Willingness to learn, curiosity, and a passion for materials handling and heavy transport.
- A National Certificate in the Motor Industry (Automotive Heavy Engineering - Road Transport), light automotive level 3-4 or qualification as an auto-electrician.
- 3+ years' relevant experience
- A current Class 1 Drivers Licence - and the willingness to achieve your Class 2 - 5 once in the role.

The successful applicant will undergo reference, police, driving, right to work and medical checks.
