**About the role**

This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of Council Pensioner Housing Units, ensuring the wellbeing and satisfaction of the residents. This involves maintaining the physical, social, and administrative aspects of the housing units, making them comfortable and safe places to live. The role also plays a crucial part in supporting cemetery administration duties, assisting with the respectful and organized management of final resting places within the community. This multifaceted role combines elements of housing management, community care, and administrative support.

**Who we are looking for**

Ideally, you will possess:

- Strong customer service orientation in dealing with sensitive issues.
- Possess political nous and sound judgment.
- You should be competent with office procedures and computer software programmes.
- A valid NZ Driver’s License.
- Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 and legal requirements relating to tenancy.
- Working knowledge of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964.
