**About the role**
It will be your responsibility to monitor the operations and processes of the store on a daily basis using your management skills and retail experience. The job involves having the capability to work with and lead a diverse team on a variety of tasks throughout the day.

This is full-time, permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours a week and an hourly rate of NZ$30.50.

**You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards but not limited to**:

- Plan and manage day-to-day operational aspects of the business as per set standards.
- Managing stock levels and making decisions about stock control and buying.
- Ensure the store presentation is consistently of the highest standard and complies with all the relevant requirements.
- Responding to customer complaints and comments.
- Recruit, train and manage staff as required to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain records of finances, invoices, stock take, rosters and incidents.
- Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers and products
- Cash handling and summarizing the daily sales at the end of each working shift.
- Ensure all laws and compliances related to the serving of liquor are followed.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety procedures.
- Any other duties assigned

**Qualification, Experience and Personal attributes required**
- A level 2 or 3 qualification will be an advantage.
- 1 year experience in retail, hospitality or any related industry is preferred.
- A current Duty Managers certificate and LCQ is preferred but not necessary to start.

**However, you will need to complete this once starting.**
- Someone that has the motivation to achieve and improve continuously.
- Strong leadership and a positive influencer.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and always putting the customer first.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to problem solve.
