We are looking for a Principal Policy Analyst to join our Strategy, Governance and Engagement branch based in either our Wellington or Auckland office.

Mō te tūranga | About the role
Our Strategy, Policy and Performance team leads the monitoring of organisational strategy, policy advice, law reform and implementation, performance, and works across the Commission on the implementation of cross-organisational initiatives.
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be working at the nexus between policy and implementation. You will provide high-quality and timely advice to the Board, Senior Leadership team and Ministers on issues affecting our mandate and function. You will bring a whole of Commission perspective to interagency and international engagement. You will also lead and support the Commission to implement policy and legislation with a clear focus on delivering outcomes.

He kōrero mōu | About you
You'll be an experienced and skilled policy professional and have an in-depth knowledge of the machinery of government along with excellent relationship management skills. Skilled in drafting advice, you'll also bring regulatory experience as well as experience in regulatory law reform.
Used to leading in a project team environment, you'll be proactive and solutions-focused and be able to think, write and communicate clearly. You will be inquisitive with sound critical thinking skills and be comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including select committee.
