**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We are seeking a **Research Midwife** or **Research Nurse **to join our department on a casual basis.

The responsibilities of this role include:

- Playing a key role in the set up and conduct of a multicentre trial investigating the effect of corticosteroids prior to planned caesarean section after 35 weeks’ at Counties Manukau Health / Middlemore Hospital
- Working together with a range of stakeholders including obstetricians, midwives, and researchers
- Integral role in recruitment, consent process, study drug administration, neonatal monitoring, and data collection

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Be a qualified and practicing midwife or nurse
- Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Have experience in the care of pregnant women and/or newborn babies
- Have intermediate level Microsoft office skills (excel, word) and excellent attention to detail when collecting and entering data
- Be able to work on Mondays and /or Thursdays, with some flexibility in working hours
