**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our night team in Highbrook. This is a full time position working Thursday to Monday (8pm - 4.30am) and would suit someone who is comfortable being hands on with the team or working in the office.

Primarily the role will require you to lead your team and make sure the night shift runs smoothly, whilst ensuring our customer’s specifications are loaded correctly and they continue to receive a great service.

**The successful applicant will be responsible for**:

- Daily allocation of work tasks and staffing requirements.
- Managing the freight sort and supporting as required, to present freight on time for drivers.
- Ensuring all freight goes to the correct destination and is in perfect condition.
- Proactively solve challenges and adapt to changing situations.
- Coach, train and develop employees.
- Health and Safety guidelines and compliance are maintained, and any incidents are reported.
- Deliver freight in trucks as and when required.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ year proven leadership experience within the chilled and frozen transport industry.
- Ability to demonstrate solid geographical knowledge of NZ towns and cities.
- 3+ years experience working in both chilled and frozen environments.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of MPI and NZTA regulations.
- Experience working on an afternoon or night shift.
- An OSH approved Forklift License.
- Proven experience in training new and existing staff members.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Minimum 3 years experience operating counterbalance forklift.
- 3+ years experience loading hard sider trucks.
- Experience using Cortex360 GPS system.
- Competency using Hitrack Transport Management System (TMS).
- Hold a Class 4 driving licence.
