**About the Client**

New Zealand Carbon Farming is also a commercially successful organisation, allowing for further investment in the growth of more trees, further assisting the country in meeting its climate change commitments.

**The Opportunity**

Due to an internal promotion and continued strong workflows, a great opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused lawyer with 2-3 years PQE to play a pivotal role in the organisation’s ongoing success. In this role, no one day will be the same and you will have the opportunity to experience a range of complex, challenging and diverse work.

As Corporate Counsel, you will work as part of a legal team that manages a wide range of transactional, commercial, and regulatory issues across the team’s portfolio, including carbon forestry, climate change, property, resource management, corporate, finance, health and safety and much more.

**About You**

Let’s speak further if you bring the following:

- NZ qualified solicitor with 2-3 years’ experience in property, general commercial and/or climate change law matters (whether in a law firm or an in-house legal team)
- An interest in climate change and carbon forestry
- A willingness to learn and develop your legal knowledge and skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and personable manner
