Join us as Senior Financial Analyst where you will be member of the finance team to business partner with the local controller to assist line managers and site management teams. You will be supporting the controller functions of two sites to optimize financial performance within our Electrification Business Area. Reporting to the Local Controller you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions and this position will be based in Napier, New Zealand

**Your responsibilities**:

- Contributing to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and adjusting in implementation as needed
- Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets
- Monitoring progress achieved and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifying issues and advising management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve
- Identifying and communicating commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions
- Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information
- Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Defining and implementing internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations
- Timely and efficient communication with relevant Local/Country/Division/Region Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility
- Managing and closely monitoring the cash flow and acting to improve Net Working Capital

**Your background**:

- Relevant degree in commerce / finance
- Proven experience in a similar function
- Experience with fully integrated ERP systems is essential (preferably SAP CO / FI knowledge)
- High computer literacy essential especially Excel / VBA.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
