We have an exciting opportunity available to join Mitre 10 Ponsonby as an **Inventory Team Member.**
In this exciting role, your primary goal is to excel in inventory management, playing a key role in enhancing our business success. This will include optimising store inventory, ensuring the accuracy of both physical and computerised records, and maintaining a customer-centric approach in all aspects of your work.
While prior experience and the specified skills are valued, we strongly emphasize a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, trainability, and enthusiasm.
**Reporting to the Inventory Manager your key functions will include**:
- Create an epic experience for our customers that make their shopping journey simple, easy, and brilliant when it matters.
- Smooth management of the inventory systems to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk.
- Ensure product is accurately tracked in-store and replenished as required, so that high merchandise standards can be maintained, enabling a seamless experience for our customers.
- Correct ticketing to enable desired profit margin to be reached and to efficiently manage shelf GAPs within the store.
- Curiosity to grow product knowledge and share information with customers and co-workers.
- A willingness to work across multiple or different departments as needed.
- Replenish product throughout the day maintaining high merchandise presentation standards and enable a seamless experience for our customers.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Proven expertise with inventory, ideally within a complex or large retailer.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Be open to learning and look for ways to continuously improve.
- Be customer obsessed, ensuring they take priority over other tasks and busy-ness.
**Applicants please note**:This is a full-time permanent role, at 40 hours per week. **Not fixed term or part time.
