We’re looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong software development background. You will design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS, build automation, and develop tooling and pipelines that improve software delivery and reliability. This role emphasizes coding and engineering solutions, not just operations. **Responsibilities**: - Build and manage AWS infrastructure using **Terraform**. - Implement and modify software running on both on AWS and Linux using **Python**. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and performance. - Develop and maintain **CI/CD** pipelines to streamline builds, testing, and deployments. - Consult and communicate with clients to help them achieve their AWS goals. - Maintain a production system utilizing **AI**inference. **Qualifications**: - **Professional**manner suitable for dealing with external customers. - Excellent **communication**skills. - 5+ years of **DevOps** +** software engineering** experience. - Strong **coding**skills in at least one language (Python, Go, Rust, JS etc.). - **Production**experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, IAM, CloudWatch). - Experience with Azure DevOps/Github or similar. - Hands-on experience in **Terraform**. - Experience with CI/CD platforms (AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps, **ECS**etc). - Solid **Linux** and Docker knowledge. - Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.). - Security and **compliance** awareness in cloud environments. **Nice to Have**: - Computer Science degree. - Computer Vision experience. - Production experience with serverless workloads. - AWS certs demonstrating a desire to learn. - Background in building internal Dev **tooling**and developer platforms. **WHY CHOOSE US**: **Diversity and Inclusion: Te Kanorau me te Whakawhāiti mai** - At Spark, we are constantly looking for ways to build a more inclusive culture.
