**The Role**

As we continue our trajectory of rapid growth, we’re thrilled to offer the opportunity for a Director of Application Security to join the Seequent team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work across our talented teams, ensuring Seequent utilises industry best practice and continues to meet the obligations of our certifications.
- Please note, this role can be based in either our Christchurch, Calgary, or Toronto office._***

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Lead and champion Application Security within Seequent
- Ensure we continue to meet the requirements of our ISO27001 certification (and others as required)
Ensure an “engineering for security” culture is maintained across teams with security considered at all stages of the development process
- Collaborate with the security teams and services of our key cloud platform and tools providers
- Collaborate with a cross-functional set of stakeholders across the Seequent portfolio
- Measure our risk state across the product portfolio and drive improvement against our threat matrix
- As the team grows, play a key role in building teams and ensuring that our security culture is maintained and enhanced.

**In order to be successful in this role, you should have**:

- In-depth experience in Application Security focused roles, both as a leader and contributor
- An externally recognised security certifications such as ISC2 CISSP, GIAC GWEB, CEH or OSCP
- Deep understanding in and practical experience implementing best practices from the OWASP
- Experience dealing with Application Security incidents
- Passion and enthusiasm for DevSecOps in a continuous delivery environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to operate as a coach and mentor
