**Inwards Goods Assistant**

Gilmours Central is a New Zealand owned and operated wholesale food supplier. We are a growing business and looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team member to support our Inwards Goods operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly, stock is accurately received, and that our store is set up for success from the back door forward.

**The Role**:

- Assist in the unloading and accurate processing of all inbound stock
- Complete temperature checks and process Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation with care
- Ensure claims and credits are processed efficiently and stock is broken down and marked off correctly
- Work with store departments to ensure timely put-away and stock rotation
- Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the Inwards Goods and yard areas, including crate returns and keg collections
- Help ensure the security of the back door and compliance with OSH and food safety regulations
- Support with regular maintenance checks of forklifts and pallet jacks
- Communicate effectively with delivery drivers, reps, and internal teams

This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

**What are we looking for**:

- Previous experience in Inwards Goods, warehousing or storeroom environments (preferred)
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on role
- Strong attention to detail with good basic maths and communication skills
- Reliable, self-managing, and capable of working both independently and in a team
- Forklift license and experience operating pallet jacks is a bonus
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
