The team at the Bupa Parklands Care Home are searching for 3 Activities Assistants with a creative flair to join our passionate team.

In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of each of the Care Home residents based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.

You will have a 6 week rotating roster where you will work for 4 days, 10am - 4.30pm and have 2 days off. This is a part time position that will be working an average of 25.6 hours per week.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities
- Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme
- Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme

**About you**
- An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a similar role within aged care is desirable
- Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
- A fun personality with a creative flair
