**Your new company**
This leading Global organisation provides food services to various industries across New Zealand. Due to growth, they are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their organisation on a part-time basis (3 days per week) who brings extensive knowledge and experience with New Zealand Employment law and Employee Relations, particularly working with unions.

**Your new role**
This newly created position will see you reporting directly to General Counsel (overseas) with a dotted line to the GM in New Zealand. Your primary role will be to enhance the communication and relationship with the company’s union and provide a strategic approach with regards to responses and information provided. You’ll be liaising with various barristers and mediators when required and be the central point for communication across the New Zealand business. When not working on union matters, you’ll be involved with various projects and legal drafting responsibilities.

**What you'll need to succeed**
You’ll be a NZ qualified lawyer and be well versed in New Zealand Employment Law and Employee Relations, with proven experience communicating successfully with union representatives. You’ll possess excellent written (drafting) and oral communication skills, strong organisational skills, a high attention to detail and accuracy and a sense of urgency. You’ll bring a strategic approach to the communication responses, be able to take ownership and have strong workflow management skills.
