The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand is looking to recruit a range of motivated and enthusiastic intelligence analysts to join the newly formed Regulatory Intelligence Team.

The Intelligence Team sits within the broader Strategy, Governance, Risk and Assurance Group. It is responsible for interpreting the operating environment, identifying and monitoring indicators of change, and providing a broad range of high-quality intelligence products to decision makers.

The intelligence function is growing and developing to meet the Authority’s goal of being intelligence led and the Intelligence Analysts have a important role to play in contributing to an enhanced intelligence function.

**What we’re looking for**

We are looking for a range of intelligence practitioners who:

- have experience building and interpreting organisational-wide intelligence requirements.
- enjoy working collaboratively to formulate and deliver information collection plans.
- have experience working in tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence environments.
- have the ability to create sound intelligence assessments that inform and support decision makers.
- have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver both verbal briefings and written reports.
- have a curious mind and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.,

**What do you need?**

To be eligible for employment within the New Zealand Intelligence Community you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa **and** ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
