That said, right now we’re hoping to add a Blog Content Writer to the team.

As the Blog Content Writer You Can Expect To
- Research and write 5 - 6 (most often 5) engaging, actionable, error-free, and properly styled blog posts per week. (That’s about 260 to 290 blog posts per year.)
- Use Canva to create featured images for those posts.
- Attend three weekly meetings, one monthly meeting, and two quarterly meetings.
- Collaborate regularly with the team via Zoom.
- Use Asana to manage your workflow.
- Make requested edits throughout the creative process.
- Do keyword research to identify target keywords and use this research to structure and write content.
- Self-manage and prioritize your workload (with mínimal oversight) to keep the content calendar on schedule.
- You have one to three years of professional writing experience, and you know you’re getting better every day. While you hate to brag, you know you’re a talented writer because, well, everybody’s always told you that.
- You were the kid whose paper the teacher read aloud to the class because it was just that awesome. You were the kid who got in trouble for staying up too late because you had to finish just one more chapter in the book.
- You might not be able to name all the grammar rules, but you know how to follow them. You’re a relaxed natural who realizes you’re not a robot (though you think robots are incredibly cool).
- You have a quick, creative mind.
- You're a stickler for details and accuracy (after all, consistency _is _king). But you’re also flexible, open-minded, and know that great writing doesn’t always follow the rules.
- You’re looking for a place to STAY, GROW, and CALL HOME. (Ours is a highly stable team with exceedingly low turnaround - simply because it’s an awesome team to be part of.)
- You’re kind, easy to get along with, and don’t take yourself too seriously.

These are the Must-Haves...
- **Experience. **1-3 years of blog content writing experience
- **WordPress. **You’re comfortable writing and formatting posts and pages, changing post status, scheduling posts, installing and configuring plugins, doing basic WordPress troubleshooting, etc.
- **Google Suite. **You’re comfortable using Google Suite, including Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc., OR you’re comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (if you can use MS Office, you’ll pick up Google Suite quickly).
- **Writing and Editing. **You can write a well-structured article
- In American English
- With excellent grammar and spelling
- In a conversational tone
- Following UX and readability best practices
- **Research. **You have experience doing online research and know how to evaluate the reliability and suitability of your sources.
- **Image Editing. **You can take screenshots, resize and crop images, and add text, borders, or other elements. You can compress images, as well as upload and format them in WordPress so they are clear, useful, and look good. (Our writers use Canva.)
- **SEO. **You understand what on-page SEO is and why it’s important.
- You know how to research keyword volume and search intent.
- You can use keywords in your content without keyword stuffing.
- You understand the _profound importance of high quality content_, and you know how to write it.
- **Basic HTML. **You can use the text editor in WordPress to add links and do basic formatting of lists, subheadings, etc. with HTML.
- **Time Management. **You’re able to juggle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize your work to meet deadlines.
- **Self-driven work ethic. **You’re a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion. We have a small team. Each member has a lot of responsibility and can significantly affect the direction our company takes. So you should be able to iterate and ship ideas quickly with loose (at best) direction.
- **Team spirit and creativity. **You have creative ideas and love to share them with the team. You also love to hear and give feedback on other team members’ ideas.
- **A reliable work environment. **Since you’re part of a 100% remote team, you have a reliable high-speed internet connection in your home or office.
