**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This role is a key member of the IWRR function and will be responsible for shaping, undertaking, and resolving bargaining for assigned Collective Agreements within agreed parameters which reflect Te Whatu Ora strategy and government expectations. This role:
- contributes to the employment relations policy workstream, ensuring development of innovative policy and relevant consultation is undertaken with all relevant stakeholders to enable implementation; and
- facilitates effective resolution of industrial related conflicts through effective problem-solving approaches, fostering positive working relationships and minimising disruptions.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Significant relevant experience in the Employee Relations area (in the range of circa 5 years depending on type of experience have).
- Demonstrated experience in the advocacy and negotiation of matters and working with Unions and advocating in a contemporary way, and employment relations at all levels in an organisation.
- Demonstrated strong technical Industrial Relations expertise along with the ability to assess complex IR/ER issues and consider options, risks, benefits, mitigation strategies and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent critical thinking, with the ability to identify trends and distil complex information into insights and action.
- High level of numeracy skill.
- Ability to model the concept of “good faith” in employment relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in a large public service organisation desirable.
