Mott MacDonald Australia is looking for a self-driven Finance professional to join the Finance team to support the growth of the group’s Data and Finance management function in the Asia Pacific New Zealand and Australia (APNA) Region.
- Based out of our Auckland office in New Zealand or Adelaide office in Australia, and reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for centralising data churning, reporting and focus points, as well as support to prepare BAU tables/ reports/ templates used. This includes be able to look at data sets and tease out/ understand trends to provide communicate focus points for the Teams. As a Finance Data Analyst within the APNA region, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide support to Regional Management Accounting Manager, and Unit Management accountants as directed
- Data collection: Gather and aid in the extraction of data from various data sources, ensuring all reconciled and complete.
- Data integrity: Supporting data review to ensure integrity, completeness, consistency and accuracy
- Data analysis: Engaging in analysis to gather meaningful insights, identify trends, and outliers in financial data, and support reconciliation and discrepancy resolution. Conduct ad-hoc analysis into specific business questions or areas of interest to pass onto finance teams for deep dive and resolution.
- Data management: support the maintenance of data accuracy, integrity, and security measures according to Group Directives
- Financial reporting: Generate customised financial reports for stakeholders using financial data, including consolidated reports for Group and Regional stakeholders
- Process Improvement: Develop and document relevant processes, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement through technology.
- Create efficiencies through preparation or extraction of centralised accessible reports to be used across APNA region finance teams for further action

**About you**
- Degree in Finance, Data Analytics or others relevant fields
- Strong technical accounting background, and advanced in Excel and MS Office
- Management accounting experience in professional consulting Industry
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to communicate across all levels internally.
- Experience in PowerBI will be beneficial.
