**Job Description**:
As a Senior/Associate Civil Structures Engineer in our ANZ business, your impact will be in the successful delivery of technically complex structural projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will support the current and future wins in the Civil Infrastructure space in Australia as well as develop the discipline in New Zealand through business development activities. This is an operational leadership role whereby you will support the Civil Infrastructures team as they grow, focusing on building the Civil Structures capability in New Zealand, specifically within the Wellington region. As the business develops and grows, you will lead the team of civil structures engineers in Wellington to deliver projects across NZ.
**What you’ll do**
- Act as lead project engineer and provide technical expertise and advice through all stages of the project lifecycle relating to civil infrastructures.
- Assist Regional Lead with business development in the civil structure space, with particular focus on the development of business within the Wellington region.
- Establish, lead, and develop a team of civil structural engineers, providing technical advice and direction to all employee levels through technical challenges and issues.
- Assist with projects of scale and complexity across both Australia and New Zealand.
- Financial management of projects by monitoring the actual time and cost expended on the total project against the budget, informing client of any changes in scope of work or other causes of variances from project resources.
- Promote Egis brand through speaking engagements or attendance at industry events.
**Qualifications**:
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 10+ years’ professional experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities and exceptional technical expertise in Civil Structures.
In addition to this, you will also have:
- Full work rights to work and live in New Zealand.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering with a focus on Structures.
- CPEng highly desired.
- Demonstrated expertise in bridge and culvert design and assessment, retaining walls, towers, and other civil structure design elements.
- Experienced in business development activities and familiar with the civil structures space in New Zealand.
- Experienced in leading and developing a team of engineers to deliver high profile projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Confident to maintain and create new relationships with key clients, within industry and public sector.
- Extensive experience in full-function project management across all lifecycles of projects of scale and complexity.
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
- An encouraging attitude towards helping to develop members of the team as well as drive to grow your own career.
