**The Role**

With Estimators being recognised as a critical part of winning new business and delivery capability, we are looking to recruit a Senior Estimator into our Auckland based team at Brian Perry Civil. This is a key role which will see you working at a senior level or if you have people leadership experience, we would look at an Estimating Manager position as well.

Our Auckland team has a strong network both to Head Office (Auckland) and to regional teams based around the country, as we believe that pooling knowledge and capability at a national level as well as a local level is not only good for individual development, but it makes good business sense. You will have access to like-minded individuals to discuss ideas and be provided with support, whilst feeling that you are part of a bigger national team of highly skilled experts in their field. We believe this is an ideal environment for someone at an appropriate level looking to step up and take on increased levels of responsibility whilst having a safety network of peers to support you.

The ideal applicant will be someone who is already in a senior role and knows the civil contracting market and can hit the ground running. However, we will also consider someone who is currently an Estimator who is looking to step up. In this case you will have a proven track record as an Estimator, preferably on projects civil contracting sector.

**About You**
- A proven track record within the construction sector as a Senior Estimator who can bring their knowledge and expertise
- A good understanding of the civil contracting market and the ability to leverage your networks
- In depth knowledge of construction methodologies and pricing
- A good understanding of key contractual aspects of construction contracts including self-performed trades and the conditions of tendering
- Exposure to contracts outside of the traditional frameworks, such as design and build, ECI, PPP and PFI schemes
- A high degree of computer literacy including experience with estimating software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An innate ability to look for innovative solutions to create value for our clients and deal with potential construction issues

Brian Perry is a leading and award-winning New Zealand specialist civils and foundations contractor. We are in an exciting phase of growth and we continue to undertake a wide range of challenging civil construction projects throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific with specialities including piling retaining walls and ground improvement works to name a few.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to exercise a wide range of skills you will have developed over the years whilst providing you with the platform on which to make your mark and be recognised for your contribution.
