We're looking for a Marketing/Communications Assistant to join our busy Communications and Engagement Unit for a fixed term period of six to twelve months. Working alongside Marketing and Communications Advisors and business groups from across the organisation, you'll help keep residents and key stakeholders informed and engaged on Council's activities, services and decision making.

Reporting to the Manager - Marketing and Identity, you'll be responsible for assisting with project marketing and communications initiatives across the Council. You will help develop marketing/communications strategies to reach and communicate with Christchurch's diverse communities.

You will have a good understanding of digital marketing and knowledge of communicating on digital channels including Social Media, eDM and web. You'll be well organised and provide support to the team by preparing and co-ordinating marketing activity, undertaking research, writing post-campaign reports and maintaining project spreadsheets.

We're looking for a tertiary qualified professional. You'll need to be able to work to tight deadlines, work well in a complex environment, present effectively and have a talent for relationship building.

**_ Additional Recruitment Information:_**

**_ Hours: Full-time, fixed term for 6 - 12 months_**

**_ Salary: $54,541 - $64,754_**

**_ Location: This position is primarily based at the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices, 53 Hereford St_**
