The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented Field Service Technician with demonstrable experience in Mechanical Maintenance and sound a comprehension of technical elements within operations.

This is a hands on customer service role that requires a self-motivated and customer focused individual. The role will deliver support to key customers across Auckland and Hamilton, including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services. The position will require participation in an on-call roster, with working hours covering Monday to Friday day shift and one or two Saturdays per month at overtime rates.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities Include- Troubleshooting and problem solving mechanical/electrical faults on high tech automated material handling equipment and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)- First respondent to breakdown notifications when on call- Perform timely on-site preventative maintenance, service actions and other routine tasks to ensure quality outputs- Report on designed/installed equipment which is not performing according to design specifications- Ensure field service incidents are completed and submitted in real time into the Dematic Service Portal- Close out maintenance/breakdown tasks via Dematic CMMS database- Submit spare parts requests timeously and manage allocated assets including spare parts, computers and tools- Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices in work areas and customer sites- Ensure compliance of all health & safety legislation- Contribute towards continual improvement activities and inform Operations of any improvements- Ensure high standards of service, skill, ability with current products- Develop and maintain effective on-going relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction on all assignments

What We Are Looking For- Mechanical trade qualification/certificates or trades licence (NZ recognised)- EST is highly regarded- Current driver’s licence- Experience working with automation and material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, pallet wrappers, forklift maintenance)- Experience in computerised maintenance systems CMMS- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems quickly and be results driven- Strong safety focus including understanding of WHS requirements and adopting safe work practices- Strong customer focus and excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills- Great team player, with an ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective on-going relationships- Forklift & EWP Licences, Working at Heights certificate are highly regarded (if necessary training will be provided)
