Packers/ Truck Loaders Harewood Bakery

We are currently looking for 5x **Packers** reporting to our Despatch Supervisor at our Harewood Bakery.

**The hours of work are**:
3 positions on Day shift: 5:00 am to 1:30 am, working 3, 4 or 5 days per week (Fridays to Tuesdays or Fridays to Mondays or Fridays to Sundays)

2 positions on Night shift: 6:00 pm to 4:30 am, working 3 days per week (Sundays to Tuesdays or Thursdays to Saturdays)

Casual or on-call work also available

Due to the nature of our business, weekend and public holiday work is essential.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Daily operation of machinery and equipment
- Loading and unloading crates of bakery product from trucks or packing machine
- Accurately stacking and packing products for our different distribution routes
- Daily cleaning and general housekeeping of your work area
- Actively participating in team meetings
- Escalating any product issues or delivery issues to your Team Leaders and/or Supervisor.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Champion safety and food quality
- Demonstrate your great communication skills (both written and oral)
- Be physically fit with the ability to lift bread crates
- Demonstrate strong work ethic
- Ability to direct clear work instructions and coach others
- Have prior experience in a food handling role
- Be passionate about food
- Be a motivated team player
