Our Pareora team have an outstanding, brand-new opportunity for a **Project Engineer** who is experienced in managing large CAPEX projects that deliver profitability on a multi-faceted site, where no two days will be the same. Using sound engineering knowledge, experience and project management skills, this role will provide mechanical engineering leadership to the Silver Fern Farms site. To achieve our vision, we are setting new standards for industry innovation, technology, and best practice.

As a key player within our Pareora site, you will be involved in developing, implementing and project managing practical engineering solutions that enable Silver Fern Farms to deliver quality food products to the global market. This role has a slight civil skew also, with a large number of projects relating to our infrastructure in the future, so an interest or proven experience in the civil field would be highly regarded.

**Applicants will ideally possess**:

- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or 3+ years' experience in an applicable field
- A demonstrated knowledge of the legal and legislative compliance conditions and issues; financial management; project management
- Project management ability including initial assessment, detailed design, quotations, capex preparation, implementation, post commissioning support and closure.
- Demonstrated technical understanding of equipment design and capability - able to accurately specify requirements and assess fitness for purpose when making selection decisions.
- Strong analytical ability to solve challenges and create opportunities.
- Desire to be based out of our Pareora Operation, just south of Timaru.
