Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
Our Investment Management System Team is part of the Treasury's Budget Directorate and is the kaitiaki of New Zealand's Public Service Investment System - ensuring it delivers value and intergenerational wellbeing through:

- Enabling well-informed investment decisions.
- Ensuring the system is efficient, effective and sustainable.
- Enabling those with accountabilities across the system to perform their roles effectively.

The Investment Management Team leads the Treasury's advice to the Government on investment management. This includes the design and operation of the Investment Management System and its core frameworks - the Better Business Case, Gateway, Capital Budget and Risk Profile Assessment Frameworks.
The position is for a permanent staff member.

- A commitment to improving the wellbeing of New Zealanders, consistent with the Treasury's vision.
- An understanding of public finance and investment management systems and practices.
- Experience working in public policy roles and a good understanding of the machinery of government.
- An ability to work at pace (when required) and deal with ambiguity.
- A strong track record of working collaboratively with a strong delivery focus.
- Practical capital investment experience (desirable but not essential).
