Scales Corporation is a global investor in agribusinesses, focusing on 3 main divisions - Horticulture, Global Proteins and Logistics. Scales has been listed on the NZX since 2014 and currently has operations in New Zealand, Australia and the United States. As part of a broader strategy they are looking to accelerate their sustainability programmes, so this is an opportunity to lead an exciting period of change and development.

**The role**:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Group Sustainability Manager will take responsibility for the strategy, execution and reporting of Scales sustainability performance, with the challenge of embedding sustainability strategy & reporting practices into all parts of the business. At the same time there will be the challenges of meeting changing regulatory requirements across the different geographies, and sectors that Scales operates, including our stakeholder disclosures.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to champion sustainability excellence across all aspects of the organisation, integrating key sustainability risks and opportunities into both the enterprise risk management process and long-term strategic planning.

With the Head Office in Christchurch and significant operations in Hawkes Bay the role offers two potential locations but also along with the off shore operations, means some travel will be required.

**Your background**:

- Expert knowledge of sustainability and environmental principles and the developing climate-related regulatory environment
- Some previous experience in sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, IR, TCFD, ISSB)
- Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders, with the ability to communicate our strategy, sustainability goals and performance both internally and externally
