How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
- In this permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position, as a Lead Civil Engineer in our Ōtautahi Christchurch office, you’ll be a vital part of the Land & Water service group who are changing the way we design and deliver major works through a focus on innovation, digital engineering, and sustainability. Your role will include:
- Working on multiple Land Infrastructure related projects across the South Island and Aotearoa for clients such as Fonterra, Fulton Hogan, Qestral, as well as local authorities and government entities such as KiwiRail and Waka KotahiTurning analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction-
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports-
- Bringing your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and developing new business using your existing industry networks-
- Mentoring and developing the ongoing capability of junior members within the practice- As a senior engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop deep professional relationships with our clients as we strive to provide exceptional service and negotiate repeat work for our chosen clients. You will interact and collaborate with our multi-disciplinary teams across New Zealand including our ground engineering, planning, buildings, energy & industrial, and transport teams as we work with our clients to understand their objectives and vision, and work to achieve their goals. Your diverse background and strength in design means that you will be comfortable bringing your technical expertise to a range of infrastructure projects across the land infrastructure, buildings, transport, and energy & industrial sectors that we operate in.

- A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or equivalent-
- General civil engineering experience across projects such as roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services design, and pavement design-
