As a Duty Manager, you will be reporting directly to both our General Manager and respective Department Manager. Your role is instrumental in providing invaluable support to our Front Office and Housekeeping operations. Your flexibility and adaptability will be key as your role can be delegated to either department, or both, based on the operational needs of the resort.
- A relevant hospitality/management qualification or at least 1-year management experience is required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for the hospitality industry.

- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Flexibility with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
**Your responsibilities as Duty Manager will include**:
- ** Operational Management**: Participate in and oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, particularly in the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, ensuring that all functions are carried out in a professional, efficient, and hands-on manner.
- ** Guest Services**: Provide superior customer service to our guests, handle any guest complaints or issues promptly and in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- ** Team Management**: Lead, manage and inspire the hotel team to deliver exceptional customer service. Handle staff rosters, manage performance, and assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- ** Health and Safety**: Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are adhered to and comply with NZ regulations. Manage any emergencies that may arise in the hotel.
- ** Administrative Duties**: Ensure accurate record-keeping for all hotel operations, assist in preparing reports, manage inventories, and aid in planning and executing department budgets.
- ** Communication**: Maintain clear and efficient communication lines within the various hotel departments, and act as a point of contact for staff and guests.
- ** Quality Control**: Regularly inspect Front Office and Housekeeping areas, ensuring standards are maintained, and implementing improvements where necessary.
