You will work alongside a team of other phlebotomist - s based in the Pathology Dept at Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury in Christchurch. You - ll be passionate about providing a high-quality service and be able to build trusted relationships with patients and their whānau.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Providing a high-quality service to clients
- Collecting blood samples from inpatients and outpatients within the service
- Registering samples into the Delphic Laboratory Information System
- Carrying out processes required for the pre-analytical processing of samples
- Interpretation and input of request forms
- Checking of data for accuracy and information
- Liaising with staff, patients and referrers effectively
- Maintaining knowledge and on-going education in PhlebotomyNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

**Your skills will include**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bring proactive and taking initiative
- The ability to pick up and use technology and software systems
