Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
Ara Kaiarahitanga Leadership Development Centre (LDC) is a business unit within Te Kawa Mataaho. We are looking for a talented learning designer/Instructional designer to lead the development of a framework and design of learning solutions to support all public servants build capability in the unique skills and knowledge required to be a public servant. This includes understanding our code of conduct, model standards and how we work with the government of the day to support all our communities.
Can you
- Leverage your knowledge of relevant learning pedagogy, behavioural change theories, learning design principles and UX/UI techniques to champion, design and create effective blended solutions
- Evidence your experience in designing blended learning programs, eLearning courses, videos, animations, and other resources
- Create learning that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi and reflects the unique context of Aotearoa New Zealand
- Work in a complex environment, with multiple projects and still meet critical deadlines

Do you have?
- Experience designing exceptional and high impact learning experiences - digital self-paced and face to face
- Knowledge of our Public Service and how we work with government
- Knowledge of tikanga Māori and te ao Māori or te reo and understand the implications of te Tiriti on today's society and public service.
- A desire to create great engaging learning that supports all our communities

**About the team**:
As a business unit within the Te Kawa Mataaho, Public Service Commission, LDC is the primary delivery vehicle for system-wide leadership development. The LDC is focused on developing consistent learning experiences across the public service to build strong leadership capabilities and encourage shared mindsets in our leaders. This role supports the delivery of development experiences to leaders across the public service. The focus of the LDC is currently broadening to also include the knowledge and skills that are unique to being a public servant.
