**Student Success Advisors** help students successfully navigate and complete SAE programmes. This may involve individual or group tutorials on specific course-related topics and in areas such as research, academic writing, practical studio skills, and essential study skills like time management. Student Success Advisors also assist students in connecting with relevant professional services, including counselling, when needed.

A specific emphasis of this position is on **Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion** (DEI), including the support of initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus, with a particular focus on student support.

The **DEI focused Student Success Advisor** may also participate in the development and implementation of relevant strategies and initiatives to help students from marginalised and underrepresented populations feel welcomed, connected, and supported at SAE Auckland.

This role is **part time**, working two days a week.

**Qualifications**:
**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- A tertiary qualification in a creative media discipline or in academic/learning support
- Knowledge of the tertiary education sector, particularly within creative media contexts
- Experience with supporting students, ideally within a tertiary environment
- Experience of the music, audio, songwriting or screen industry would be advantageous
- Be connected to and have experience working with marginalised communities is advantageous
