**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Store Manager to lead our Timaru store. Reporting to our Sales Manager in Christchurch the Store Manager will provide critical leadership to ensure a consistently excellent experience for our customers day in, day out. The Timaru store consists of approximately 30 staff working across all departments including, Women’s and Men’s fashion, Accessories, Homewares, Cosmetics, Despatch and our in-store café.

The Store Manager will work closely with our buyers to ensure our merchandise range is accurate for our South Canterbury customers.

With the support of our Head Office in Christchurch there is the opportunity for the new Store Manager to input into the Timaru business model to ensure continued success across the store.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

- Ensure the department is always appropriately staffed
- Resolve day to day queries from staff, customers and suppliers
- Motivate and inspire the team
- Achieve KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Regular reporting to the Executive team in Christchurch
- Manage people processes with the support of HR including, Recruitment, training and performance processes.
- Drive customer excellence.
- Extensive experience working in a retail and customer service environment is essential
- Experience in leading and motivating teams
- Experience in effective people management
- Ability to drive sales and achieve KPIs
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Strong time management skills and able to prioritise effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound decision making skills

This is a full time position working Tuesday-Saturday.
