As a growing company we are looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to work in our warehouse sites across Auckland.

**The successful applicant will be responsible for**:
conducts tests of construction materials, prepares sketches and tabulations, and assists in estimating costs in support of Civil Engineering Professionals and Engineering, Technologists. Registration or licensing may be required.
preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works.
such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures, including budgets, costs and timetable.
making detailed drawings using CAD software.
performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing.
collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations.
estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work.
conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys.

NZQF Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of civil engineering practices, building methods, and materials.
Able to analyse and interpret information such as client requirements, plans, and designs.
Have computer skills including for CAD software.
Practical skills.
Strong communication skills.
Be physically fit and reliable.
Full drivers licence plus vehicle to get onsite.
Pass a drug screen (site will also conduct alcohol and random drug screens).
Health and safety awareness.
Knowledge of Worksite Safety rules.
Knowledge of correct lifting techniques.

**What we can offer?**
Starting pay rate of $31/hr
Minimum and maximum hours - 40 hours to 55 hours, Monday to Friday and occasional weekends Work location - Auckland
