**Mo m tou | About Us**
At Te Tai Ohanga The Treasury we're creating a better future for New Zealand and everyone who calls our amazing country home. We're the Government's economic and financial advisor, working hard to raise the standard of living for everyone in Aotearoa, now and in the future.
Our talented people bring their diverse backgrounds and experiences to tackling New Zealand's biggest and most inter-connected issues. Every day, they are influencing, advising, and supporting government decision-makers to shape our country's collective tomorrow.

We have openings for a mix of Analysts and Senior Analysts to join us on a permanent or fixed-term basis. Two of these roles will be providing parental leave cover through to February 2026 and May 2026.
Our team is responsible for advising the Government on the fiscal strategy and New Zealand's macroeconomic policy frameworks. This includes a mix of fast-paced and high-profile policy advice through the Budget process or in response to new developments and shocks, as well as long-term stewardship work.
These roles will lead or contribute to multiple projects, tailored to the skills and interests of successful applicants. You will have a varied and challenging work programme, with regular exposure to and engagement with senior leadership and plenty of opportunities to learn and develop on the job.

- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to establish trust and influence.

- An inclusive, team-player attitude.
We are committed to employing people with a wide range of academic, cultural and social backgrounds and experiences, who represent the New Zealand community we serve.
